The find was made back in 2013-2014 and immediately attracted the attention of both specialists and local residents. However, to prevent theft, the stone was buried. Later geological studies established that it is not jade but a jadeite, which does not diminish its scientific and tourist value.
Local residents have repeatedly expressed ideas about opening access to the stone for visits, considering it a natural attraction capable of attracting tourists.
At a meeting of the district administration held on January 13, a decision was made to officially open the stone to tourists. On the same day, a winter festival "Ak Ilbirs" was planned in the Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge, which will take place in the Ak-Tash pasture. The implementation of this project was entrusted to the Orgochor rural administration.
Currently, the municipal enterprise "Ishtirman" is carrying out preparatory work with the involvement of heavy machinery.

Jadeite is a general term for a group of minerals similar to jade but with lower characteristics, often with cracks and weak coloration. These rocks are used for making crafts, unlike jade, which is a precious stone.
