In the center of the capital, more than 80% of the work on the large infrastructure project Old Bishkek has been completed.
The Old Bishkek project includes:
- underground retail spaces;
- a two-level underground parking for 250 cars;
- elevators and escalators;
- ramps and navigation for people with disabilities;
- convenient entrances and exits for safe pedestrian movement.
On December 8, Kamchybek Tashiev, carrying out the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov, inspected the progress of work near the Central Department Store.
After inspecting the area, the chairman of the State National Security Committee (ГКНБ) instructed to dismantle structures and stops that narrow the roadway. In addition, Tashiev ordered the demolition of the third floor of the building under construction, as per information from the city hall and the Ministry of Construction, it was supposed to be only two stories.
Currently, work is underway to bring the building in line with the project.
