On the night of December 20 to 21, the first phase of the multifunctional underground complex Old Bishkek was launched, allowing for the opening of vehicle traffic on Chuy Avenue. This step is significant as it will help reduce the load on the roads and improve the conditions for movement for both motorists and pedestrians in the city center.

The Old Bishkek project is considered one of the most complex in terms of engineering and architecture. Although it is not yet completed, the opening of the road contributes to the restoration of transport connections and reduces the load on neighboring streets. Work continues at an intensive pace, involving up to 150 specialists working around the clock.

As part of the first phase, temporary routes for pedestrians will be launched, who will use the underground passages. These temporary solutions require pedestrians to follow the established navigation and consider the restrictions in place until the construction is completed and the facility is put into operation.

Work is being carried out in compliance with all necessary urban planning and technical requirements, without stopping traffic. However, the functional capabilities of the complex are not yet fully realized. Inclusive infrastructure, including elevators and ramps, will be put into operation only after the completion of all engineering systems.

In the subsequent phases of the project, it is planned to fully utilize the underground passage and open a parking lot for 225–250 spaces, which will improve parking organization and make the urban environment more comfortable.

The Old Bishkek team expresses gratitude to the residents and guests of the capital for their patience and understanding, urging them to evaluate the project only after the completion of all landscaping, greening, and architectural design work.
