The Padysha-Ata Nature Reserve, located in the Aksy district of the Jalal-Abad region, has become an attractive destination for tourists due to its clean air, mountainous terrain, and crystal-clear rushing rivers. This place draws both locals and foreigners. The summer season here is flooded with vacationers, but in winter, the natural beauty reveals itself in new colors. A Turmush correspondent captured these stunning winter landscapes.

According to a representative of one of the public organizations, in 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting the region increased by 35-40% compared to previous years. Last year, popular tourist spots such as Sary-Chelek, Kara-Kamysh, Padysha-Ata, and Arstanbap attracted many guests from Uzbekistan and European countries.

“Unfortunately, we cannot accurately count the number of tourists coming to the country, as not everyone crossing the borders of Kyrgyzstan registers as a tourist. We can only analyze data from guesthouses in the region. Our observations show that the number of foreign tourists has increased by 35-40% compared to previous years. We also have big plans for this year,” she noted.

The Padysha-Ata Nature Reserve is a protected natural area in southern Kyrgyzstan, established in 2003, covering an area of 30 hectares. Here, walnuts, apples, apricots, cherries, hawthorn, juniper, and many medicinal plants grow. In this reserve, one can encounter ibex, mountain goats, roe deer, wolves, foxes, and rare birds such as the golden eagle, the steppe eagle, and the falcon.
