The mother of the girl injured in the traffic accident was under stress and may have confused people.
Burul Nazarbaeva, a resident of the Alamudun district, had previously expressed suspicions about the involvement of relatives of a deputy of the Bishkek City Council and the akim of the district in the accident involving her daughter. However, she has now refuted this information.
In her address to Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Seyidbek Atambaev, she explained that her conclusions about the family ties of one of the parties involved in the traffic accident were erroneous, caused by emotional stress and possible confusion.
“I saw a person who externally resembled the deputy of the Bishkek City Council Kazybek Ergeshov, and I rushed to conclusions,” noted Burul, while deciding to apologize to everyone whose names were mentioned in her statements.
Nevertheless, she insisted on the need for a thorough investigation of the incident, including an analysis of video camera recordings, and called for a legal assessment of the actions of the traffic police officers.
Recall that earlier Seyidbek Atambaev reported that the mother of the injured girl had approached him with a request to investigate the traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of 7 April and Ablesov streets on February 23. The driver of the Lexus SUV, an 18-year-old girl, crashed into a Honda Fit at high speed.
The deputy also reported possible attempts at pressure from the akim of the Alamudun district and Kazybek Ergeshov, related to the kinship of one of the parties involved in the accident.
Kazybek Ergeshov, in turn, denied rumors about the involvement of his relatives in the accident, stating that he does not have an 18-year-old daughter and is unaware of the incident. He expressed his intention to demand a refutation of false information.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region confirmed the fact of the traffic accident, which occurred on February 23 at around 09:50 in the village of Koy-Tash. According to the police, the collision involved a Lexus RX-350, driven by a 2006-born driver, and a Honda Fit, with a girl born in 2001 at the wheel. Both drivers were sober.
As a result of the accident, both vehicles were damaged. The driver of the Honda Fit was hospitalized, while the second participant received medical assistance.
Forensic, automotive, and other examinations have been appointed, the results of which will provide a legal assessment of what happened.
