Kyrgyzstan and GIZ Sign Agreement on Developing "Green" Skills

In the Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, an agreement was signed regarding the implementation of the regional project "Green Skills for a Green Economy in Central Asia." This project is being carried out in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The signing ceremony was attended by Minister Kanat Sagynbaev, ministry staff, and the head of the GIZ regional project, Udo Volkers.

The Minister noted that this agreement represents a significant step towards strengthening partnership relations and creates new opportunities for the development of vocational education. Special attention will be paid to training personnel for "green" sectors and enhancing the competitiveness of the workforce.

The main goal of the project is to develop modern competencies in the context of the transition to a sustainable economy. It includes training specialists in areas such as solar technologies, energy efficiency, as well as water resource and waste management.
