Boxing Diplomacy: Kyrgyzstan Strengthens Its Position in the World Boxing Rankings

Three boxers from Kyrgyzstan have made it to the list of the best in the world ahead of the World Cup – 2026

Kyrgyzstan continues to actively develop its position on the international boxing stage. In the latest World Boxing ranking published in March, three Kyrgyz athletes found their place among the best boxers.

Among the leaders of the ranking:

- Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, who took 3rd place in the under 60 kg weight category, with 975 points earned for his 2nd place finish at the Olympic Games in Paris.

- Ikhtiyar Nishonov, ranked 8th in the under 70 kg category, and Nuradin Rustambek uulu, who is in 13th place in the under 75 kg weight class.

The new ranking takes into account points earned at the World Boxing Challenge tournaments, World Cups, World Cup finals, as well as at World Championships and the Olympic Games.

The presence of three athletes from Kyrgyzstan in the upper part of the World Boxing table highlights not random successes, but a steady improvement in the training level of boxers in the country.

This updated ranking was published ahead of the new World Cup season.
