On March 26, a meeting between the local administration and residents took place at the Osh State Uzbek Academic Musical Drama Theater named after Babur. Representatives from the mayor's office, the internal affairs department, and the prosecutor's office participated in the event.

At the meeting, a resident of Osh, Kannazar Idrysov, spoke about how last year, in July, under the previous municipal leadership, 44 business establishments were demolished on Majurum-Tal Street. "I am speaking on behalf of the entrepreneurs from this street. One of the vice-mayors of the city issued us an ultimatum: 'If you pay $200,000, your establishments will remain.' We were given only three days to meet this condition. He said, 'If you want, give it to me; if you want, pass it to the mayor in Jalal-Abad at the 'Dastan' hotel.' We could not raise such an amount, and after three days, all the trading points were completely demolished. 80 people filed 11 complaints with the prosecutor's office, but none of them were addressed," Idrysov reported.

Mayor Janarbek Akayev confirmed that Kannazar Idrysov's complaint reached the president. "Despite repeated appeals to the prosecutor's office, they have remained without proper attention. I appeal to the prosecutor's office: why haven't your employees addressed these complaints? If the facts are confirmed, we will have to take legal action. We will put an end to the extortion of money from entrepreneurs and cases of forcibly selling their property. Business should be supported, not oppressed," the mayor stated.
