There is also a possibility of resuming direct flights between Bishkek and Ulaanbaatar.
On March 24, 2026, a meeting took place in Ulaanbaatar between the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Mongolia, Aibek Moldogaziev, and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of Mongolia, Gochogiin Ganbold.
During the conversation, issues of cooperation in the field of transport were discussed. In particular, the possibility of Kyrgyzstan joining the intergovernmental agreement regarding international road transport along the network of Asian highways, signed in 2016 by three countries: Mongolia, Russia, and China, was raised.
Additionally, one of the topics of discussion was the resumption of direct flights between Bishkek and Ulaanbaatar.
Kyrgyz representatives emphasized that the development of transport corridors and logistics infrastructure would be key to increasing trade turnover and ensuring stability of supplies. Mongolia, in turn, expressed interest in deepening cooperation and proposed organizing a separate meeting for relevant agencies.
As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to continue work on all agreed directions.
