A new access road is planned to be constructed at the international airport 'Manas', which will make access to the terminal more convenient and organized. As part of the project, an automated payment system for passage will also be implemented.
The idea of implementing this project was discussed at a working meeting attended by the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, and the chairman of the board of JSC 'Airports of Kyrgyzstan', Manasbek Samidinov. The preparation for the project and the development of transport infrastructure in the airport area were discussed.
The length of the new road will be approximately 1.6 kilometers and it will run parallel to the existing Bishkek — Manas airport route.
According to the press service of JSC 'Airports of Kyrgyzstan', a roundabout is planned to be organized at the section where the turn to the village of Mramorny will be, for the convenience of entering the new road. The entrance will start with two lanes, then expand to eight in the area of automated toll booths, and then narrow back to two lanes leading to a multi-level parking lot.
The exit road will begin from the parking complex and will also be two-lane, expanding to six lanes before the payment area. After that, traffic flows will be directed through the roundabout towards the city.
Greenery is planned between the entrance and exit roads. The implementation of the project is aimed at creating a modern transport infrastructure, increasing capacity, reducing traffic jams, and introducing an efficient toll payment system.
The existing road will be used exclusively for access to the 'Manas-2' terminal and for servicing official delegations and government convoys.
