The Ministry of Transport announced which roads will be repaired and built in 2026

The priority will be strategic highways, bypass roads, and projects in the regions.



In 2026, Kyrgyzstan expects significant repairs and construction of roads, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport. As part of state funding, the renewal and construction of 700 kilometers of roads is planned, as well as 457 kilometers according to the Title List.


Currently, the construction of key routes is actively ongoing with state budget funding, including Balykchy–Bokonbaev–Karakol, Naryn–Bayetov, Ala-Buka–Zhanibazar–Kirovka, and Safarovka–Barpy.


Work will continue on a number of strategically important projects, such as additional structures on the alternative North–South route, the Barskoon–Bedel road, the northern bypass road of Bishkek, as well as sections of Lebedinovka–GES-5, Bishkek–Kant, Arashan–Chunkurchak, and Bishkek–Kuntuu–Shopokov.


In addition, as part of investment projects, the reconstruction of the Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz road (Phase IV, 93 km), the section from Korumdu to Balbay Baatyr (79.3 km), and the road from Barskoon to Karakol (75 km) will continue.


Among the new initiatives are the construction of Profsoyuznaya Street, the road to the new Osh market, the bypass road in Cholpon-Ata, as well as the reconstruction and construction of roads in the Issyk-Kul region, including the route to the ski base "Jyrgalan" and the resort of Jeti-Oguz.


The Ministry of Transport emphasized that changes and additions may arise during the implementation of the projects.
