Athletes from Russia and Belarus will not be able to participate in the Winter Paralympic Games, which will take place in 2026. This decision is the result of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) lifting restrictions, but there are virtually no opportunities for athletes from these countries to compete in qualifying events. The reason is that four specialized federations are responsible for six winter sports — skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, curling, and ice hockey. The first three of
