- In Kyrgyzstan, there is a growing need for state regulation of ecotourism and ecotrails. This was stated by the director of the Tourism Support and Development Fund, Adilet Januzakov, on the radio.

Januzakov emphasized that successful development requires consideration of state policy. In this context, the Fund, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and the Ministry of Economy, plans to develop relevant proposals. He noted that before formulating solutions, an analysis of statistical data will be conducted and the opinions of tour operators regarding current market trends will be studied.

“We plan to prepare proposals for the Cabinet of Ministers based on the collected digital and statistical data,” he added.

The director also noted that ecotrails remain an important area in tourism. The Fund has already worked on incorporating ecotrails into electronic maps, including the use of the 2GIS service, which will allow tourists to navigate routes using mobile applications.

Additionally, Januzakov pointed out the importance of a careful approach to nature in the development of glamping and ecotourism. He noted that even in the context of "wild" tourism, minimal infrastructure should be created, including the installation of bio-toilets and other necessary amenities, as this is critically important for preserving the environment.

The Fund is also working with tour operators and travel agencies on routing tourists so that their movement occurs along specific directions rather than chaotically throughout the mountainous regions of the country. According to Januzakov, such regulatory and control measures are necessary and quite feasible.
