- During his visit to the Issyk-Kul region, Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev visited several energy facilities in the area, according to information from the ministry's press service dated March 2.

During the trip, the minister inspected the 220/110/24 kV substation "Tamga," where he familiarized himself with the high-voltage power lines, automation systems, and relay protection, as well as the work of the substation personnel.

Additionally, attention was given to the project for the implementation of a 220 kV high-voltage line from "Tamga" to Karakol, and relevant proposals were discussed. This project includes plans for the expansion of the "Tamga" substation, procurement of equipment to support personnel operations, and installation of solar panels on the roof of the administrative building.

The minister also visited the Jyrgalan district, where he checked the progress of the electrification of the under-construction ski resort "Ala-Too Resort." He reviewed the 35/10 kV substations "Three Peaks" and 35/6 kV "Jyrgalan," and studied the condition of the electrical networks in the area.

In particular, the project includes the construction of a 47 km overhead line from the 110 kV substation "Przhevalsk" to the new 110 kV substation "Ala-Too Resort." The design has been completed, a contract has already been signed, and the route is currently being clarified while the installation points for the poles are being coordinated. The line will pass through the territories of three rural administrations, and the necessary resolutions have been obtained; work continues on coordination with the forestry department and landowners. A location for the construction of the 110/35/10 kV substation has also been determined, documents have been prepared, and the stages of coordination are ongoing.

President Sadyr Japarov participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Ala-Too Resort" ski resort on August 8, 2025, which is located near the village of Jyrgalan in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region.

Previously, the project was named "Three Peaks," which is related to its location near the mountain peaks of Jyrgalan, Ak-Bulak, and Boz-Uchuk. The first phase includes the construction of hotels at the foot of the Jyrgalan peak.
