By 2030, Kyrgyzstan aims to triple the volume of gross added value created by small and medium-sized enterprises. This was announced on October 29 by Eldar Alisherov, head of the EEU Affairs Sector in the Presidential Administration, speaking at the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to issues of accelerated economic growth in the country.

Alisherov emphasized that the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the structure of gross domestic product is planned to be increased to 50% or more. This confirms that the focus will be on supporting and developing this sector of the economy.

In addition, he outlined an important vector for further development — the establishment of Kyrgyzstan as a regional trade center and international hub.
“For landlocked countries, logistics becomes one of the key factors for economic progress. We hope that by 2030 we will be able to modernize our transport infrastructure, enhance its efficiency, and create multimodal logistics centers that provide transshipment conditions. We plan to realize the full potential of our transport corridors, including rail, road, and air,” he added.
