The entry of Kyrgyz producers into international markets faces various difficulties, including tariff and non-tariff barriers. This was reported by Rustam Baltabaev, Executive Director of the Agro-Industrial Complex, during a panel session held on October 28 as part of the international exhibition KyrgyzTransLogistic 2025.

Baltabaev noted that each country strives to protect its producers, which is a normal process. However, the association he represents calls on government structures to more actively support local agrarians.

In his opinion, the growth of domestic production and the increase in added value will be key factors for the country's economic progress.

He also pointed to the active development of sales markets in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, highlighting the goal of increasing trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to $500 million per year.

Baltabaev also drew attention to the emerging problems in logistics when transporting agricultural products.

“The quality of our products must be maintained during delivery. To achieve this, it is necessary to ensure the temperature regime, create 'green corridors,' and minimize waiting times at the border,” he added.
