Kyrgyzstan offers the EU to conduct an independent audit
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan expressed regret over the inclusion of a number of legal entities from the country in the sanctions list of the European Union. This was reported in the official statement of the ministry.
“The Kyrgyz Republic consistently adheres to international obligations and actively engages in an open and constructive dialogue with partners from the EU aimed at preventing risks associated with the possible circumvention of sanctions measures.”
The Ministry emphasizes that the European Union continually expresses interest in building a strategic partnership with Central Asia, including support for the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan. In this context, the Kyrgyz side is open to equal, mutually respectful, and trusting cooperation with the EU and its members. This approach contributes to achieving mutually beneficial results, unlike unilateral pressure in the form of sanctions,” the ministry added.
Furthermore, the Kyrgyz Republic officially calls on the European Union to initiate an independent, internationally recognized audit to confirm the actual circumstances and ensure that any restrictive measures taken are based on reliable and verifiable data.
“The Kyrgyz side proposes to create a specialized joint technical working group Kyrgyzstan - European Union, which will carry out regular data exchange, transaction monitoring, and joint risk assessment,” the Ministry concluded.
We remind you that the European Union has adopted the 19th package of sanctions against Russia, which again included Kyrgyz banks and companies.
