Shailoobek Atazov, who previously held the position of a deputy in the Jogorku Kenesh, reported a violation of his rights following his detention and transfer to a detention center. This is stated in a letter that was delivered by his lawyer.

According to Atazov, on November 22, security service officers came to his home to conduct a search, after which he was taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On the same day, the former MP was placed in a temporary detention facility, where he allegedly spent 12 days.

In his letter, he claims that his health was undermined in the detention center, and he was subjected to cruel treatment. On December 3, Atazov was transferred to SIZO-1, where he found himself in a cell with 20 other inmates. He emphasizes that the conditions there are poor: it is cold and damp, many inmates show signs of illness, and he also speaks of violations of his constitutional rights.

Investigative authorities accuse the former deputy of preparing mass riots that were allegedly planned after the parliamentary elections on November 30. However, Atazov categorically denies these accusations, calling them "false and politically motivated."

“I have always served my people and my state, as well as Kyrgyz sports. I had no discussions about destabilizing the situation in the country. I am not afraid of these accusations, as before God and the people, I am innocent,” he states in his address.

It should be noted that the information was obtained from Shailoobek Atazov himself and conveyed through his lawyer. Recall that the former parliamentarian was detained in November, along with associates, on suspicion of preparing mass riots in the country.
