The Kremlin commented on rumors of a possible fall from grace
According to The Moscow Times, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has found himself in a difficult situation regarding President Vladimir Putin.
This assumption is based on the fact that Lavrov was the only permanent member of the Russian Security Council who did not attend the meeting discussing the country's response to Donald Trump's statements about nuclear tests.
Additionally, Sergey Lavrov will not lead the Russian delegation at the upcoming G20 summit; his place will be taken by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.
A possible reason for this situation could be the cancellation of a meeting between Putin and the U.S. President following Lavrov's conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Rumors about Lavrov's possible emigration from Russia began to spread on social media, but these claims were denied by the Kremlin.
“There is nothing in these reports that corresponds to reality,” commented the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
