At the event held at the Karamyq outpost in the Chon-Alai district, Tashiev noted that all issues regarding borders with neighboring countries have been resolved, and now there are "no disputed areas." In this context, a decision was made to withdraw heavy weaponry, which has been agreed upon with neighboring countries.

“Border troops will no longer use heavy equipment and armaments. We have coordinated this step with our neighbors. Only light firearms will remain in service,” he reported.

Additionally, Tashiev mentioned the need to revise the rules for the use of firearms and their quantity both in the Army and among border guards. He expressed hope for a reduction in the number of incidents similar to those that occurred earlier, when border guards lost their lives.

“We have faced armed conflicts. How many of our hero border guards have given their lives defending our border? I am confident that there will be no such clashes now, as there is no reason for dispute,” Tashiev emphasized.
