Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasized that both sides have once again confirmed their interest in creating transparent conditions for the legal stay of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia, as well as in ensuring decent working conditions and social guarantees.
“We agreed to continue joint work through our competent ministries in this important direction,” he added, noting that cooperation in the field of migration will gradually strengthen.
Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, noted in an interview with "Nomad TV" that it is necessary to approach migration issues in Russian society with respect. He emphasized that the migration agenda should not evoke negative emotions among Russians, and that labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan should feel part of Russian culture and enjoy all established social rights.
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, also confirmed the positive attitude of the parties, stating that Russia is consistently working on streamlining migration processes, adhering to the principles of the EAEU and supporting labor migrants. “The main thing is to make it convenient for them to follow all laws and requirements,” he noted, emphasizing the constructive approach in the dialogue between the countries and the readiness to jointly address existing problems.
According to political scientist Toktobek Ryskulov, discussing migration policy at the level of heads of state opens up opportunities for concrete steps aimed at simplifying bureaucratic procedures, improving registration mechanisms, and enhancing the legal protection of labor migrants.
The expert believes that the attention given by the leaders of the two countries to the issue of migration will contribute to building trust and improving conditions for Kyrgyz citizens in Russia. “If the dialogue is conducted at the highest level, it creates all the prerequisites for practical solutions that will allow our citizens to work confidently and peacefully,” he added.
The visit emphasized that migration cooperation remains one of the key directions in Kyrgyz-Russian relations. Both countries demonstrate their readiness to develop partnerships, enhance the protection of citizens' rights, and create more comfortable conditions for the working youth of Kyrgyzstan, who make a significant contribution to the economic development of both countries.
