On October 30, the premiere of the play "12" directed by Nikita Mikhalkov took place at the Ch. Aitmatov Russian Drama Theater in Bishkek, attracting full houses. This was reported by representatives of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

This event was part of the Days of Russian Culture taking place in Kyrgyzstan.

Among the attendees were the Russian Ambassador Sergey Vakunov, Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Mambetaliev, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and public figures.

Nikita Mikhalkov expressed gratitude to the leadership of the republic for the trust and the award presented to him — the Order of "Dostuk," emphasizing that he is particularly pleased to present his work in Bishkek — a city with rich cultural traditions and warm hospitality.

The play, which touches on themes of freedom, compassion, and helping those in need, received enthusiastic applause and active discussion from the audience.

It should be noted that the Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan will continue until November 2.
