The "Manas" cinema in the capital of Kyrgyzstan hosted one of the main events of the Russian Federation Culture Days. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev, and his Russian counterpart, Olga Lyubimova. Olga Lyubimova, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, emphasized the importance of cultural and cinematic interaction between Russia and Kyrgyzstan for strengthening strategic partnership.

“Our peoples are connected by historical ties, and the joint activities of cultural ministries allow us to implement many interesting bilateral projects, including culture days and film festivals,” the minister noted.

Mirbek Mambetaliev, in turn, stated that the festival serves as a powerful symbol of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

He also expressed gratitude to Olga Lyubimova for supporting this project.

“Your presence gives special significance to the event and inspires us for further development of cultural cooperation,” Mambetaliev added.

The minister reminded that Kyrgyz cinema has deep roots in the Russian film industry, as many renowned directors and screenwriters from the country studied at VGIK and worked at studios such as Mosfilm and Lenfilm.
