In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a significant event took place at the "Manas" cinema — the Days of Russian Culture. The event was attended by Mirbek Mambetaliev, the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, and his Russian counterpart Olga Lyubimova, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

Olga Lyubimova emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the field of culture and cinema, noting that this has strategic significance for both countries.

“The historical friendship of our peoples and the results achieved in cooperation allow us to successfully implement bilateral projects, such as film festivals and cultural exchange days,” she added.

Mirbek Mambetaliev, in turn, stated that this festival serves as a vivid symbol of how cinema can unite peoples and promote mutual understanding.

He expressed gratitude to Olga Lyubimova for her support in implementing this project.

“Your presence gives special significance to the event and inspires us for further development of cultural cooperation,” Mambetaliev noted.

The Minister also reminded that Kyrgyz cinema has deep roots and close ties with Russian film education, as many renowned Kyrgyz directors and screenwriters were educated at VGIK and worked at legendary studios such as Mosfilm and Lenfilm.
