Worked as a mechanic at a metallurgical plant in Lipetsk, as a teacher, associate professor, head of the department, and since 1993 - Professor at KGNU.

Specialist in the field of solid-state physics.

Awarded the Order and medals of the Great Patriotic War, medal of the USSR.

Published more than 130 scientific works.

1. The phenomenon of steel transitioning to a critical state of a new type in ultra-strong magnetic fields.
2. Formation of new substances in diamond under the influence of a laser.
3. Plasma technology for growing diamonds and diamond-like substances.
4. Laser technology for growing single crystals of semiconductors.
5. Method for purifying diamonds from metallic impurities.
