Prose writer K. Dzhusubaliev was born in the village of Kerdegey in the Alay district of the Osh region in a teacher's family.
In 1957, he graduated from Kerdenginskaya Secondary School, and in 1963, he completed the journalism department of the philological faculty of KSU. From 1965 to 1967, he was a student at the higher screenplay courses in Moscow.
He began his work biography in 1957 as a collective farmer, and from 1963, he worked as a teacher at the eight-year school "Kyrgyzstan" in the village of Chon-Alaï. From 1964, he was a literary employee at the editorial office of the regional newspaper "Lenin yolu," and from 1965 to 1985, he was the editor of the studio "Kyrgyztelefilm."
His creative biography began in 1963. His first collection of stories "Kun avtportretin bute elek" ("The Sun Has Not Finished Its Self-Portrait") was published in 1967. A significant place in the writer's work is occupied by the book "Tolubai synchy" ("The Connoisseur Tolubai"). He is the author of screenplays for several feature and documentary films.
He has been a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1981 and a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR since 1975.
