- As part of the project to develop the value chain of natural honey in Kyrgyzstan, 89 new jobs have been created. This was reported at the National Round Table on Beekeeping by the project coordinator of UNDP "Trade Facilitation," Saule Jumayeva, who collaborates with the Public Fund "Center for Training and Consulting."

According to her information, the total number of workers in this sector has increased from 200 to 289, among which 38 are women.

“The increase in honey production and processing requires more resources in areas such as packaging, labeling, logistics, and sales, which opens up new employment opportunities, including for women from rural regions,” noted Saule Jumayeva.

This project is being implemented by UNDP in Kyrgyzstan with the support of the Finnish government and in cooperation with the Public Fund "Center for Training and Consulting" (TES-Center). It covers regions such as Osh, Naryn, and Issyk-Kul, and aims to support all participants in the chain, including beekeepers, processors, and export companies.

As part of this initiative, the production infrastructure has also been modernized with an investment of over $82,000, which has enhanced production capacities and ensured compliance with international standards.

Jumayeva added that expanding the value chain not only increases production volumes but also helps strengthen the international brand "Kyrgyz honey."
