- In his speech, Chotonov spoke about the progress of forage preparation for winter.

According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture has established standards for forage procurement for the winter period of 2025–2026 for various types of livestock.

This year, it is planned to collect 5 million 320 thousand tons of forage, including 411 thousand tons of rough forage, 383 thousand tons of succulent forage, and 923 thousand tons of compound feed.

“At the moment, we have managed to procure 93% of the planned volume. Specifically, for rough forage — 85%, for succulent — 87%, and for compound feed — 84%,” he noted.

Chotonov added that these figures are 5–6% lower compared to last year.

The specialist explained that this situation is due to dry conditions and a lack of moisture, which negatively affected the yield of barley, corn, and other forage crops.

“For rough forage, there is a decrease of 7–10% compared to last year,” he added.
