- On the air of the radio, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev announced plans to build a leather processing plant in the Issyk-Ata district.

He noted that 100 hectares of previously private but unused land have been transferred to state ownership and are now under the management of the State Enterprise "Agroholding," under the ministry.

“The construction of the plant is being carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, sewage, water supply, and electricity supply have already been connected to the plant's territory. In the future, entrepreneurs engaged in the production of wool, leather, and livestock products will be provided with production facilities for rent,” the minister added.

According to him, the completion of the leather processing plant is expected in a year and a half.

Torobaev emphasized that the implementation of this project will contribute to the development of the processing industry, the creation of new jobs, and an increase in the added value of livestock products.
