The minister also addressed irrigation issues. According to him:
- In the Ak-Suu, Issyk-Kul, and Tyup districts, the design and construction of reservoirs GKO-Sigma, Shaty, Pobeda, Kumbel, and Toru-Aygyir are currently underway, with a total volume of 512,000 cubic meters (the readiness of the facilities is 40-80%);
- Reconstruction of 110.9 km and modernization of 38.7 km of canals is being implemented, which will allow for the opening of 945 hectares of new irrigated land and improve water supply for 81,136 hectares;
- Using modern technologies, the lining of canal beds is being carried out - 27,000 sq. m in the village of Zharkymbaev and 4,500 sq. m in the village of Kol-Tor.
