In the rehabilitation center "Zoo Bishkek," within the framework of the volunteer program "Mission KINDNESS," a white-tailed eagle and a buzzard were operated on, both of which had fractures in their wings and lower limbs.

According to the Russian House in Bishkek, the surgeries lasted about two hours. Currently, both birds are feeling well and are under the supervision of the center's specialists.

The white-tailed eagle is one of the largest birds of prey, inhabiting areas near large bodies of water, rivers, and coastlines. It has a powerful body, wide wings with a wingspan of up to 2.3 meters, and a characteristic wedge-shaped white tail in adult individuals. Its primary diet consists of fish, but it also hunts waterfowl and small mammals. Due to habitat loss and human impact, the white-tailed eagle is listed in the Red Book in many countries, including Kyrgyzstan.

The buzzard, or common buzzard, is a widespread bird of prey in Kyrgyzstan, preferring mountainous areas, foothills, and forest-steppe zones. This bird is characterized by its broad wings and short tail, and its coloration varies depending on the habitat conditions. The main diet of the buzzard consists of small mammals.
