At the meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council on economics, budget, finance, and investments on February 16, deputy Talaybek Sariev ("Yntymak") drew attention to the practice of waste disposal by organizations.

He addressed Zholdosh Chushtukov, the director of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk," with a question about why their equipment does not collect construction waste, despite having contracts with legal entities such as construction companies and stores. Sariev noted: "You only take food waste, but what should we do with bricks and concrete?"

In response, Chushtukov stated that under the signed contract, "Tazalyk" is obligated to dispose of only solid household waste. To remove construction and industrial waste, a separate agreement must be signed. He added that some business entities mistakenly put construction waste out for disposal based on their existing contract for household waste removal.

Sariev replied that we are talking about insignificant volumes of waste: "In extreme cases, it's only five containers under the existing contracts. Just two buckets of construction waste. If it were 50 containers, then it would be a different conversation."
