The laboratories of the Department of Environmental Monitoring under the Ministry of Nature have successfully accredited according to the international standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019.

According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Nature, the laboratories now have the right to use the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) emblem, which symbolizes quality and unites more than 43,000 laboratories from 70 countries around the world.

The Ministry of Nature emphasized that the results of analyses conducted in cities such as Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad now have legal validity at the international level, making their results protected from challenge by international arbitration.

The accreditation confirms that the equipment used, research methods, and qualifications of specialists meet global standards similar to those applied in Europe and Japan.

Thus, the presence of ILAC accreditation allows the ministry to act as an independent and authoritative expert in disputes over transboundary issues and large industrial projects.

“Achieving the ISO 17025 standard level by regional sectors is our response to society's demands for honest and professional monitoring. Now environmental control in the southern regions of the country represents not just oversight, but a high-tech expertise recognized by the global community,” the press service added.
