A researcher at the laboratory of geobotany and environmental protection of the National Academy under the President, Ormon SultanGaziev, shared with AKIpress information that wild tulips belong to the genus Tulipa, which includes about 100 species worldwide. In Kyrgyzstan, about 30 varieties of these plants can be found.
“These flowers are distinguished by a variety of shapes and colors, ranging from bright reds and yellows to whites and mixed hues. Blooming begins in early spring, from March to May, when mountain snows start to melt and the earth becomes saturated with moisture,” the expert added.
