At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection on March 9, Asel Raimkulova, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, announced the inclusion of several natural sites in the list of specially protected areas of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, information was presented about the activities of the Ministry of Natural Resources for the year 2025.

According to the deputy minister, the list includes the Bayboosun Nature Reserve, located in the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region, the Kötörmö micro-reserve, and the Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences.

To optimize the management and protection of these natural areas, a smart system has been implemented in 14 specially protected areas, allowing for improved monitoring and control over the state of the environment, she added.
