On January 16, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Asel Raimkulova reported at an off-site meeting of the parliamentary groups "Mekenchil" and "Ata Jurt" that the Department of Environmental Control of the Ministry of Nature is requesting permission to access the territory of the landfill, including the eco-technology plant that processes solid household waste into electricity.

She noted that air quality monitoring in the area of the landfill is carried out continuously. "In the near future, we plan to take samples of air, soil, and water. We need constant access to this facility," she added.

Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Junushaliev also reported that the plant was opened on December 28, and the city administration will provide the Ministry of Nature with the opportunity to conduct monitoring on the territory of the landfill.
