The Ministry of Natural Resources and KOICA Discussed a $10 Million Project to Improve Air Quality

On February 2, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Natural Resources, during which Minister Medera Mashiev and Deputy Minister Asel Raimkulova held discussions with a delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the main topic was the implementation of a project aimed at improving air quality, which is planned to be carried out in Bishkek and the Chui region from 2026 to 2028.

The project includes a grant from the Government of Korea of up to $10 million. The main goals are to reduce emissions of harmful substances, create a comprehensive air quality management plan, and implement environmentally friendly heating systems in public educational institutions.
