Storm Warning: Snow Avalanches May Occur on Mountain Road Sections on March 17-18

Due to changing weather conditions, on March 17-18, snow avalanches are forecasted in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the possibility of snow drifts, accumulations, and ice. Avalanches may occur on the following roads:

- section 198-265 km of the Bishkek—Osh road (Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge);

- section 55-115 km of the Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alaikuu road;

- section 292-305 km of the Bishkek—Naryn—Torugart road (Dolon pass);

- sections 201-205, 260-290, and 326-249 km of the Balakchy—Kazarmin—Jalal-Abad road (Kok-Art pass);

- section 45-90 km of the Karakol—Enilchek road (Chon-Ashuu pass).

When traveling through avalanche-prone sections of the roads, it is recommended to strictly maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
