The National Investment Agency reported the signing of an agreement concerning a public-private partnership for the construction of the new "Kelechek" tunnel at the Too-Ashuu pass.
The document was signed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as well as a consortium led by LLC "Tez Zhol".
The project includes the creation of an 11.5-kilometer tunnel at an altitude of approximately 2,200 meters above sea level, which will ensure safe and uninterrupted transportation along one of the country's most important routes throughout the year.

- construct two toll collection points and two small hydropower plants with a total capacity of 31.3 MW,
- implement modern tunnel management, including safety systems, monitoring, and traffic automation.
