President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has approved the Law on the ratification of the agreement concerning the establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Turkic States Organization. This document was signed on November 6, 2024, in Bishkek.
The law, which was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on September 24, 2025, is necessary to complete the internal procedures related to its entry into force. The agreement aims to create a clear mechanism for coordinating actions in the field of prevention and response to emergencies, as well as to enhance preparedness for such events.
Within the framework of the agreement, the goals, scope, and structure of the new mechanism are defined. It also includes the organization of cooperation for eliminating the consequences of both natural and man-made disasters, as well as guaranteeing mutual assistance to the participating states in these processes.
