In 2026, salaries for social sector workers in Kyrgyzstan will be increased

As a result of the meeting of the Ministry of Finance, this decision was made

At a recent meeting of the Ministry of Finance's board, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev announced the intention to raise salaries for social sector workers in 2026. This statement was made following an analysis of the ministry's work in 2025.

Kasymaliev noted that the increase in budget revenues opens new opportunities for the country, allowing a transition from a social expenditure structure to development, while the level of social support for citizens will remain at an appropriate level.

"Our budget, which was previously focused on social needs, has now become a development budget," he emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, the growth in budget revenues not only allows for the financing of large infrastructure projects but also increases the incomes of those working in the social sector.

Additionally, Kasymaliev gave the Ministry of Finance further instructions, emphasizing the importance of effective and transparent expenditure of budget funds, especially in the area of public procurement. He also noted the necessity of continuing funding for road construction, affordable housing, and other significant government projects.
