Every two years it will increase by one year
Starting from January 1, 2026, the minimum work experience required for retirement in Kyrgyzstan will be raised from five to six years.
The introduction of the five-year minimum work experience concept occurred in 2024, allowing citizens to receive a full pension. Previously, women were required to be 58 years old and men 63 years old with at least 20 years of work experience to retire.
Now the minimum work experience will grow: every two years it will increase by one year, reaching 20 years by 2045. This measure is aimed at encouraging citizens to increase their work experience.
