According to experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, achieving high results in animal husbandry requires adhering to a strictly balanced diet. A balanced diet directly affects milk yields and meat quality, providing livestock with all the necessary nutrients. The main sources of fiber and vitamins are rough feeds, such as hay, straw, and silage. These feeds form the basis of nutrition, and in addition to them, succulent feeds, including pasture grasses and silage, are used to meet the need for proteins and rough fibers.
Concentrates (grains, cake, bran) play an important role in intensive animal husbandry, supplying carbohydrates and proteins, as well as animal-origin feeds, such as fish meal and meat-and-bone meal, which enrich the diet with essential amino acids and minerals. Experts warn about the consequences of protein deficiency, which can lead to weight loss and decreased productivity in livestock. Vitamin supplements and silage also play a key role in maintaining the immune system and normal digestion.
The Ministry of Agriculture reminds farmers and agronomists of the importance of properly combining all four types of feed. This not only contributes to improving animal health but also enhances the competitiveness of the final products. Investments in quality nutrition today are the key to sustainable income and successful development of agricultural enterprises in the future.
