Farmer markets were held in the Aksy and Ala-Buka districts, organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. These events, conducted by the district agricultural development administrations, aimed to provide the population with quality food products at affordable prices.
The markets featured a wide selection of essential goods, including meat, vegetables, fruits, sugar, vegetable oil, and flour. Thanks to the participation of local farmers, the products were sold directly, which helped eliminate intermediaries. This not only made prices lower for consumers but also strengthened the connection between producers and consumers.
The main goal of the markets is to support the domestic market and stabilize food prices. The ministry emphasizes that the republic is currently fully ensured in food security. Continuous market monitoring shows that food supplies are sufficient, and the risk of shortages is absent.
The organization of mobile markets will become a regular practice in all regions of the country and will be one of the ways to provide social assistance to citizens.
