Starting from September 1, 2026, a goods traceability system will begin operating in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This information was published in the list of goods approved by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Under the new system, household refrigerators and freezers (12 codes of the EAEU Customs Nomenclature), washing machines for both home use and laundries, including models with a spin-drying device (6 codes of the EAEU Customs Nomenclature), as well as equipment for receiving television signals, which may or may not include radios or devices for recording and reproducing sound and images (16 codes of the EAEU Customs Nomenclature), will be subject to constant monitoring.

The Minister for Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC, Bakyt Sultanov, emphasized that the new system will help effectively combat gray market products and enhance the economic security of the entire union.

“We are starting with key categories of household appliances and plan to expand this list to make our common market more civilized and predictable,” the minister added.
