In its traditional weekly macroeconomic review, the Eurasian Development Bank presented a forecast indicating that the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan's interest rate will remain at 11% until the end of 2026.

It should be noted that in January of this year, the regulator decided to keep the discount rate at this level. As of mid-January 2026, the annual inflation rate stood at 9.4 percent.

Experts from the EDB are confident that maintaining this rate is necessary to achieve the inflation target range of 5-7 percent.

Additionally, it is noted that the economies of the Eurasian region showed resilience in 2025 due to an influx of investments and active consumption.

Key growth factors in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan were capital investments, while in Russia and Kyrgyzstan, regulators are focused on controlling inflation through monetary policy.
