The second B5+1 Forum is opening in Bishkek, organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in collaboration with the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. This event is a logical continuation of the historic C5+1 summit, which established the forum as an important platform for dialogue between businesses in Central Asia and the United States.
The main task of the forum this year is to transition from one-off initiatives to the development of a long-term strategy. Support from the U.S. Department of State, effective until 2029, allows B5+1 to become a sustainable mechanism where the private sector not only discusses pressing issues but also shapes the reform agenda. Over the course of two days, participants will discuss achievements since the first meeting in Almaty and present roadmaps on key areas, including critical minerals, IT, transport, logistics, and agriculture.
The forum in Bishkek will feature active dialogue: representatives of regional working groups will propose specific recommendations for improving the business climate, while delegates from government structures will articulate official positions and commitments to their implementation. The outcome of the meeting will be the signing of a Communiqué, which will document the updated action plan for attracting investments and integrating the economies of Central Asia into global markets. Thus, the B5+1 Forum reinforces its role as the foundation for creating a unified and prosperous economic space in the region.
