Over the past two months, the United States has tightened its visa policy. This was reported by Sergio Ghor, the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, during the B5 +1 forum held in Bishkek.

Ghor noted that the review of the visa policy affects citizens of 75 countries.

He added that these measures are aimed at combating illegal migration and strengthening control over visa issuance.

In addition, Ghor stated that the U.S. intends to maintain business ties with countries in the region in various areas, including e-commerce and transportation. He emphasized that such a strategy would benefit not only the U.S. but also other countries.

The main goal of the U.S. is to maintain the security of its borders.

It is worth noting that previously the United States suspended the issuance of immigration visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
