At the two-day B5+1 business forum taking place in Bishkek, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bakyt Sadykov, emphasized the important role of business in economic transformations. He highlighted that representatives of the business community are not just participants but full-fledged co-authors of reforms.
Speaking to the forum participants, which include business circles from Central Asian countries and the USA, the minister stressed that the B5+1 format marks a new stage in regional cooperation. Bakyt Sadykov pointed out that businesses have a unique opportunity to present their proposals at the level of governments and international partners, making them an important driver of change.
According to the minister, the forum has three key significances for Kyrgyzstan. The first is strengthening cooperation in areas such as logistics, trade, and energy, which require joint efforts. The second is creating a more favorable business climate, where initiatives to reduce administrative barriers and digitize public services fully align with current reforms. The third significance is related to the development of international partnerships, which, with active participation from the USA, helps to increase investor confidence and opens new opportunities for technology transfer.
Minister Bakyt Sadykov concluded his speech by stating: "A clear signal from the forum: Central Asia is becoming a region of cooperation, reforms, and growing opportunities for international business."
