At the meeting of the Bishkek City Committee held on February 11, it was announced that the rent for markets in the capital has been raised.
As noted by Ulan Kurmanbekov, the chief engineer of the municipal enterprise "City Road and Transport Infrastructure," the rent has been increased by up to 20%. This decision is aimed at further developing market infrastructure.
The official also provided examples of rent increases: at the "Dordoy" market, the rate has risen by up to 40%, while at the "Alkan bazaars" it has increased by up to 20%. At the same time, as Kurmanbekov pointed out, the rental prices at municipal markets were agreed upon during negotiations with entrepreneurs.
